Hygge

Hygge (pronounced “hoo-gah”) is a Danish concept derived from an old Norwegian word that means “well-being.” It is an important part of Danish culture. After the word hygge appeared in Danish texts in the eighteenth century, the Danes began incorporating it into their lifestyles. The hygge decor style is cozy and focuses on creating an environment that promotes togetherness and comfort. Hygge design trends, characterized by soothing neutral colors and natural materials, are a trademark of the Danish way of life.

Art Deco 

Art Deco originated in the 1920s and 1930s. It is distinguished by its use of bold geometric shapes, rich colors, and luxurious materials including velvet and furs. Art Deco is a highly decorative style that draws inspiration from Egyptian, Mayan, and Aztec art, as well as the work of the French Art Nouveau movement. The color palette is typically bold and dramatic, with a lot of black, gold, silver, and chrome accents. It is also common to use luxurious materials such as marble, mirror, and glass.

Mid-Century

The mid-century interior design style was popular in the 1950s and 1960s but has been rising in popularity since 2022. The style includes clean lines, simple shapes, and a focus on functionality. The color palette is typically neutral, with pops of bold colors used as accents and natural materials such as wood, leather, and stone. It is frequently associated with the rise of the middle class and the desire for more affordable, yet stylish living.
