Kid-Friendly Living Room Ideas – IKEA Home Tour (Episode 307)

In episode 307 of the IKEA Home Tour Series, the Squad helped Allen, Pam and their three daughters convert their messy, unorganized living room into a kid-friendly play space with plenty of storage and room for growth.

Over the years, the Sung family living room had been overrun by the kids’ toys, books and art supplies. As Pamela prepared to go back to work, this room represented that last big project to overhaul and organize. Clearing out the room initially seemed like a huge burden, but as the family progressed they found new freedom in clearing out old belongings and transforming the space. The Squad incorporated clever toy storage ideas throughout the room, creating a designated place for everything. The versatile VALLENTUNA sofa allowed the family to add modules for extra storage and guest beds that can be rearranged for any use. The FLISAT table and stool set hid TROFAST storage bins for art supplies and toys built into the unit.

Using the Squad’s kid-friendly living room ideas, the Sung family created a functional, beautiful room with plenty of space to play, grow and learn.
