Coco In France: Dreamy Parisian Balcony Spotlight

About the French Balcony

The French balcony was introduced in the 18th century. It’s also known as the Juliet balcony, named after Juliet from Shakespeare’s play. Juliet balconies are surrounded by double or french doors that open inwards, allowing more natural light. They are commonly used in modern architecture.

The above balcony was located at the apartment I stayed in Paris. It’s owned by Anne Marie Midy and Jorge Almada, the owners of the furniture house Casamidy. I couldn’t get enough of the view.
